Although it’s not one of our favorite topics, it’s important to discuss insurance and making sure you’re prepared for anything. We live in a wild world, with fires, theft, natural disasters and many other hazards.
Do yourself a favor this week and find your homeowners insurance policy. Make sure you know your coverage, and how to make a claim should something happen.
Then, make an inventory of what you have. I suggest recording a video describing your possessions (Make/Model/Serial Number: i.e. four Chihuly sculputes appraised at $5,400, two Wayfair Sofas #12345, three french hens, etc) or keep it old school with a checklist like the one pictures, just make sure you keep an online copy like on a Google Drive, or with your insurance agent.
