Virginia Highland

The family-friendly Virginia Highland neighborhood, popularly called “VaHi” by residents, is bordered by Amsterdam Avenue to the north, Briarcliff road to the east, the BeltLine & Piedmont Park to the west, and Ponce de Leon to the south.

This charming and cozy community is known for its beautiful scenery and all-around great people who make everyone feel welcome. With its fair share of bars, boutiques, coffee shops, parks, and more, everything you need to feel at home is available and close by.

The historic neighborhood primarily consists of early 1900s architecture like Craftsman bungalows, Victorian-style, English Vernacular Revival, Colonial Revival, and American Foursquare homes. Modern-style homes are also present in the area.

John Howell Memorial Park

Enjoy a lovely quiet evening with family at the John Howell Memorial Park. The park has unique playground attractions for the younger ones to relish. You can also engage in sports activities and get your blood pumping at the park's volleyball or soccer grounds.

Orme Park

Another place to check out is the 6.6 acre Orme Park, a little hideaway amid the city that's easily accessible by foot. Everything you need to relax is here.

Dog Walk Area

The park has a dog walk area and other exciting areas like the walking trail in the middle of the park and a beautiful historic stone bridge at the west end of the park. Then there are numerous toys for the little ones and plenty of space for parents to sit and watch their kids having fun.

Several Festivals

Several festivals round the year make the neighborhood a never-ending place of fun. A notable mention is the annual Virginia–Highland Summerfest, one of Atlanta's most popular neighborhood festivals, held every first weekend of June.
