The same Florida developers who built West Midtown’s Star Metals District, have bought a new 15.5 parcel on the Westside in Bankhead (1060 Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway) for $31 million! They also broke ground on the Bryn House in North Druid Hills earlier this year.
This area has already seen enormous growth and will continue to see massive changes in the coming years with Quarry Yards/Westside Park and other massive projects all within a half mile. Just a few years ago, the area was unrecognizable. In a few more, I believe this will be the tech hub district.
Allen Morris Co., the developer has committed to working with the BeltLine on this project and welcoming the communities input – there aren’t many public details on what is coming so far, but I expect to see some live/work space along with commercial that can be easily walkable.
