Underground Atlanta has an interesting history, but the past couple decades it’s became pretty irrelevant.
There were big plans in 2017 for a renovation, after it was sold by then Mayor Kasim Reed. It was sold again in November of last year, but not much has changed. However, yesterday a new food hall development with over 21 restaurants was announced to be coming soon and demolition is underway!
This will be a one of a kind experience, and I’m very excited to see what they do with the re-imagined space. Atlanta already has some of the best culinary experiences in the world, this will bring life into Underground Atlanta once again. Downtown has a very bright future, along with the recent news of the Gulch development underway.
