Last week for my first sales meeting at my new brokerage (Keller Knapp), we held an attainable housing panel at Druid Hills Golf Club. This was awesome! Atlanta great Tim Keane presented as a speaker (Atlanta City Planner, huge catalyst for the BeltLine), and many more including Atlanta Land Trust.
Atlanta is at a crossroads, we face an incredible opportunity to blossom into one of the best cities in the world with the BeltLine and everything going on, but on the other hand we still have the worst income gap in the country. Tim offered some insight into how we can shift our focus to help quality of life for all Atlantans, by rethinking our zoning laws, diversifying housing types (most new construction is either luxury homes or apartments), and promoting organizations like Atlanta Land Trust, if you’d like to learn more about how they work, see here.
