The developers, Urban Creek Partners, sold their proposed mixed use development to a Microsoft affiliated real estate investment firm. The initial plans included 70 acres of land near Bellwood Quarry, consisting of 850 residences, a 300 room hotel, and over 500,000 square feet of office space. This is exciting for Atlanta, but also raises questions and concerns over affordability, and gentrification.
