Garden Hills
Garden Hills Historic District is an early 20th century residential neighborhood planned and developed between 1923-1941, as a “family community” that included not only high-quality homes, but also many other components necessary for daily life, like: parks, clubhouses, etc.
The historic district comprises three sections, the Peachtree Road section, the Country Club Section, and the Brentwood Section. Located in what is now the heart of Buckhead between Peachtree and Piedmont roads, it was enveloped by the growing town of Buckhead. Garden Hills Historic District was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.
Many homeowners enjoy the neighborhood perk of the elementary schools in the area. Children can easily walk on the sidewalks to Christ the King School (Catholic), the Atlanta International School (private) and Garden Hills Elementary (public). The proximity to three of the area’s largest churches, schools and popular shopping destinations make it one of Buckhead’s true walking communities. Garden Hills Neighborhood Foundation and Garden Club are the neighborhood’s associations.
